A G-string wax uses warm wax to remove hair from the sides and front edges of the bikini area, slightly beyond what a standard bikini wax covers, leaving a neat, narrow strip or shape at the front. It does not address the labia or buttock strip, which distinguishes it from a Brazilian wax. Because hair is removed from the root, results typically last three to four weeks, depending on individual hair growth and waxing history.
If this is your first time, your beauty therapist will explain the process and answer any questions before starting. The first treatment is usually the most uncomfortable, as hair hasn’t previously been removed from the root. With regular waxing, hair becomes finer and treatments become more comfortable over time.
Hair should be approximately half a centimetre to one centimetre long at the time of treatment. Avoid shaving in the weeks before your appointment.
The bikini area is more sensitive than many other parts of the body, and post-wax reactions can be more noticeable. Proper technique and aftercare help manage this.
Maintaining this treatment every three to four weeks helps reduce discomfort and improve results over time, as hair becomes finer and sparser with regular waxing.

The area is cleansed and prepped, then warm wax is applied and removed in sections along the sides and front edges. Remaining fine hairs are addressed with tweezing, and a soothing post-wax product is applied.
The treatment typically takes fifteen to twenty minutes. Some redness or sensitivity is normal immediately after and usually settles within a few hours.
