A back wax uses warm wax to remove hair from the entire back, from the shoulders down to the lower back, leaving the skin smooth. Because hair is removed from the root, results typically last three to four weeks, depending on individual hair growth and waxing history. This is one of the more difficult areas to wax effectively at home, making it a particularly popular treatment for those who prefer professional results.
If this is your first time, your beauty therapist will explain the process and answer any questions before starting. The first treatment is usually the most uncomfortable, as hair hasn’t previously been removed from the root and is often at its coarsest. With regular waxing, hair becomes finer and treatments become more comfortable over time.
Hair should be approximately half a centimetre to one centimetre long at the time of treatment. Avoid shaving in the weeks before your appointment.
Back skin can vary in sensitivity from client to client, and areas with denser hair growth may be more reactive immediately after waxing. Proper technique and aftercare help manage this.

Remaining fine hairs are addressed with tweezing, and a soothing post-wax product is applied across the full area.
The treatment typically takes thirty to forty five minutes, depending on hair density and back size. Some redness or sensitivity is normal immediately after and usually settles within a few hours.
