The Brazilian wax removes hair from the entire intimate area, including the front, sides, back and buttock strip, using warm wax. Some clients prefer to retain a small strip or triangle of hair at the front, which is fully accommodated and discussed before treatment begins. A Brazilian wax uses warm wax to remove hair from the front pubic area, the labia, the sides and the back, including the buttock strip. It is the most thorough of the intimate waxing treatments, requiring more technical skill than a G-string or bikini wax due to the larger and more sensitive area covered. Because hair is removed from the root, results typically last three to five weeks, depending on individual hair growth and waxing history.
If this is your first time, your beauty therapist will explain the process and answer any questions before starting, proceeding at a pace that’s comfortable for you. The first treatment is usually the most uncomfortable, as hair hasn’t previously been removed from the root. With regular waxing, hair becomes finer and treatments become noticeably more comfortable over time.
Hair should be approximately half a centimetre to one centimetre long at the time of treatment. Your therapist may trim longer hair before waxing. Avoid shaving in the weeks before your appointment.
The intimate area is among the most sensitive skin on the body, and the Brazilian covers a larger area than other intimate waxes, so post-wax sensitivity can be more pronounced. Careful technique and proper aftercare help manage this.
Maintaining this treatment every three to five weeks helps reduce discomfort and improve results over time, as hair becomes finer and sparser with regular waxing.
Your appointment begins with a consultation to confirm your preference for complete removal or a retained strip, and to check for any contraindications. A disposable brief is provided and adjusted as needed. The area is cleansed and prepped, then warm wax is applied and removed in sections, working systematically across the front, sides and back. Your therapist will guide you through any position changes needed and check in regularly throughout. Remaining fine hairs are addressed with tweezing, and a soothing post-wax product is applied to the full area.
The treatment typically takes thirty to fifty minutes. Some redness or sensitivity is normal immediately after and usually settles within a few hours to a day.
